Christmas in New York My
"Christmas in New York" website was originally created in 1997, giving
me the opportunity to combine my love of photography with my experience in web
design. Each year, I anxiously look forward to the unveiling of the NYC store
windows and updating this website for your enjoyment. It is an exciting project
for me and puts me in the holiday spirit. The reason I started this site was because
there weren't any others that provided photos of New York City during the popular
holiday season. NYC looks beautiful during the Holiday season. It is a wonderful
time of the year. After exchanging
links with
other holiday sites, my site began to grow in popularity. By 1999, I had received
numerous emails thanking me for providing the holiday photos from New York. Many
appreciated the site because they had always heard of, but never visited the famous
Rockefeller Christmas Tree and department store windows. Others moved away from
NY and appreciated seeing the photos of places they remembered while growing up.
Many just missed the sights and sounds of Christmas in New York. Getting those
emails made it all worthwhile for me. I continued the project for six years. After
2003, I temporarily closed down the site. When I was able to bring the site back,
I featured for the first time, all of the popular department stores in NYC, such
as Macy's, Lord & Taylor, Tiffany's, Barneys and Sak's. Each year I make my
best effort to cover as many of the popular windows as my time allows. I
am always open to suggestions and constructive criticism. Of course, I love to
hear positive feedback about the site. The site is updated several times throughout
the Christmas season. I try to bring you new photos and give you tidbits of information
that I hear about during my visits to New York. I encourage everyone to visit
my site throughout the holiday season to view all of the new and exciting changes
I'll be making as I travel New York. Thank you for spending some time on my site. Wishing
you a Very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a Happy and safe New Year to all
!!!.
